Adolescent Programme

The Adolescent programme at Caron Bermuda is a 12 week program which can accommodate approximately 20 clients per cycle.
It is designed to be versatile and flexible, according to the individual needs of the participants.
One of the most challenging populations to address clinically is the adolescent. Providing an accurate drug and alcohol assessment, addressing co-occurring psychiatric issues, and simultaneously meeting increasingly complicated family needs is the norm and at Caron Bermuda in association with our parent organization at Caron PA, we are equipped to meet these challenges through our out-patient counseling services ,group programs and world-class overseas residential care.
The programme includes the following components:
- Evaluations and Assessments
- Group Therapy
- Individual Outpatient Counseling
- Art Therapy
- Educational Support
- Family Support
This new intensive outpatient treatment programme will provide a daily continuum of care within a primary, structured schedule that emphasizes group therapy and family involvement. It is designed specifically to include students who have been displaced from their schools because of substance use, abuse or addiction issues. Students may be referred to the AIOP by the Bermuda Youth Counseling Services, schools, other referent agencies, and receive treatment at no cost to their families. The AIOP will facilitate connection between adolescent clients and their schools as well as a seamless transition back into the school systems following treatment.
In addition to the Adolescent Programme, Caron Bermuda also works with PRIDE Bermuda to offer an outreach Student Assistance programme to address the needs of today's young students. They are currently serving four schools in primary, middle and high school.
