Addiction is a chronic disease, and treatment by trained professionals has proven effective in breaking the addiction cycle.
Frequently drug dependence is a symptom of an underlying problem, and Caron's treatment approach seeks to identify and heal these problems as well as tackling the actual addiction. Effective treatment often includes a holistic, abstinence-based approach and utilizes the 12-Step philosophy.
Caron Bermuda will provide Bermuda residents both adult and adolescent on island care, with direct access to quality off-island residential treatment at either Caron US's main campus in Pennsylvania, or Boca Raton, Florida, or near Dallas, Texas. Upon their return to Bermuda, such individuals will be able to participate in Caron Bermuda's non-residential aftercare and group programmes at its Smith Parish facility.
